PROUD: WEST END

The project received wide ranging media coverage, including Time Out, BBC Radio London, Conde Nast Traveller and The Evening Standard.

Divina De Campo, Drag Queen

Caroline and Colette record Divina de Campo's true story.

PROUD WEST END was an audio-visual exhibition, created in partnership with New West End Company, forming part of London’s Pride celebrations, situated on Old Quebec Street, just off Oxford Street.

This exhibition of ‘living portraits’ allowed visitors to immerse themselves in the lived experiences of 15 individuals who shared their true spoken, candid and personal stories of being part of the West End’s LGTBQIA+ community.

“It was such a pleasure to work with Colette, Caroline and Dan (and the whole Heard Storytelling team) this year on Oxford Street’s groundbreaking PROUD: West End campaign.

Their unique ability to nurture and cultivate communities to build impactful, beautiful and moving campaigns is second to none and I very much look forward to working with them again in the future.”

Danny Sullivan, Campaign & Events Manager, New West End Company

What our storytellers had to say…

Working with Heard Storytelling has been absolutely amazing. Being able to feel confident and express how I’m feeling with the good, the bad and the ugly as everyone goes through, has been a real eye-opener. Thank you!

— Anthony, Primark

I just wanted to thank you so much for your time and patience, and to also thank you for including me in such an inspiring project. I genuinely can see how what you do can impact so many people and I feel it on such a personal level.

— Jules, Fabletics

It’s nice to have someone interested in hearing something that I have to say, and not only that but sharing it with lots of people meaning that someone can go away from this exhibition and go ‘Okay, I can carry on today, I can cope better.’

— Graysen, Mosaic Trust

Listen to one of the stories :

BOTSANG

In the company of a tight-knit group of friends, Botsang finds solace and camaraderie and their own "Central Perk". Their version, complete with black faux leather seats that carry the lingering smell of Jaeger, becomes their cherished gathering spot. A story that captures the essence of friendship and the moments that define a chapter of life.
